Terms of use.

1. Using the studio

You may use the studio to create and export designs for personal or commercial projects. You must be legally able to enter into these Terms; if you use the service for a business, you must have authority to act for it. You are responsible for your use of the service and compliance with applicable laws.

Do not use the service to infringe another person's rights, distribute unlawful content, interfere with the service, bypass access restrictions, or introduce malicious code.

2. Your artwork and uploaded materials

You keep the rights you already have in your logos, artwork, and other materials. You must have permission to use everything you import, including trademarks and copyrighted designs. Processing a file in the studio does not transfer its ownership to us or give us permission to publish it.

You may use and modify the pattern artwork generated by the studio in your own projects, including commercial print work. We do not claim ownership of your original contributions. This permission does not transfer rights in third-party materials, guarantee exclusive rights in a pattern, or license our name, logo, sample branding, or website imagery for your commercial use. Replace demonstration branding before producing work for your business.

3. Check before production

The studio is a design aid. It is not a substitute for professional measurement, print preparation, installation advice, or a safety/code assessment. You and your production provider are responsible for checking dimensions, pane orientation, bleed, scale, colors, font outlines, artwork rights, material suitability, and any applicable glazing or visibility requirements.

Screen previews are illustrative. Printed colors and opacity depend on the film, ink, printer, and environment. Scan QR codes from a final-size proof and verify their destination. Approve a suitable proof before printing, cutting, or installing.

4. Saving and availability

The current studio keeps your active project in browser memory. Refreshing, closing, or leaving the page can clear it. Download your artwork before leaving; exports are not a cloud backup or a promise that a project can be reopened in the editor.

The current tool is free to use. Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. Any future paid offering will disclose its price and applicable terms before a purchase.

5. Our service and third-party services

We retain our rights in the service, its code, branding, and site content except where separate licenses apply. External websites and services have their own terms. We do not control the destination you put in a QR code or endorse a third-party site merely by linking to it.

6. Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted operation, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that an export is suitable for a particular printer, material, or installation.

To the extent permitted by law, Crouton LLC and its personnel are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including lost profits, lost data, or wasted production materials. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

7. Changes and questions

We may revise these Terms and will update the date on this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site before taking effect. Revised Terms apply prospectively; if you do not agree to them, stop using the studio. The Privacy Policy explains our information practices.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law. Contact look@decoratemywindows.com with questions or concerns.
